THE SATYA OF SATHYA SAI BABA

For as long as 50 years, Sathya Sai Baba had been India's most powerful & renowned holy man. Phrases attached to him were ‘a worker of miracles’, ‘an instrument of the divine’ and ‘a God Man’. His followings crossed Indian borders and even reached Europe, America, Australia, South America and Asia. However, it’s piteous to see that millions of people prayed him (a mortal human being) for so many years, not knowing or even believing that he was nothing but a child molester; a dangerous pedophile and an insanely greedy man. It’s true that money speaks louder than live human beings even if it’s made out of paper. Not only that, but it also gives immense power to selfish people who use it to solely to solve their evil purposes. On 23 May 1940 a short man called Sathya Narayan ‘Raju’ proclaimed himself the ‘the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba’ and named himself Sathya Sai Baba. As time passed by he accumulated substantial influence and prestige within India and that influence included prominent leaders like former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao. The guru's followers included governors, chief ministers, assorted politicians, business tycoons, newspaper magnates, jurists, sportsmen, academics & even scientists.

I fail to understand that how can people be so foolish that they follow someone after watching a few magic tricks. On top of that, innocent and ignorant people believe that such people can also help them secure a place in Heaven. Well, the only thing that can help humans to reach their real home is nothing but living like a true human being. Now that the ‘Baba’ is dead, people can clearly see how much money and gold he had been storing in luxurious abodes and well he could take nothing with him. It’s amusing when his trustees say that "Swami out of love for his devotees had been keeping all this with him, swami also didn't use all this.” If Sathya Sai Baba was equal to god or he was god himself then why did he never help people by giving away his hidden treasures? In fact why did he even store so much treasure if he had pronounced himself God, does god even need all that? Worst was that he used the name of a pious sage Sai baba of Shirdi. Why do people time and again believe that mortal human beings are gods? What do they really know about god? Honestly, we live in a world where there are absolutely no real scientific explanation of our sole existence. Only a few claim to know the answers and such people automatically get detached and lead a simple life doing their true duties.

Sathya Sai Baba’s example should be an eye-opener and everyone should learn to act rational and figure out that only our thoughts and actions make us good or bad. Inhumane activities like war, murder, rape and all kinds of abuse are no where close to goodness. Being good is to love everyone, be kind, be truthful and sincere. And it’s high time to understand that a moral human being doesn’t hurt, abuse, kill, cheat, lie, disrespect, act arrogant or act hypocrite. One doesn’t need to do bizarre charities or go to the temple everyday to chant hymns and prayers. So, let’s not get blinded by disbelief, concocted stories and small little magic tricks.

The lesson is that no matter who we are: influential, powerful, rich or beautiful we all do AGE, FALL SICK and DIE and that’s also the supreme being’s way of telling mortal humans that we have absolutely no control over anything. No matter how much you cling on to your decaying bodies, the money that you lie for, cheat for, kill for and even hurt your loved ones for will remain seated in your Lockers and Banks and there is not even a ZILCH of it that you can carry along with you. You come empty handed and that’s how you go back, the only thing that belongs to you is your soul and your subconscious mind.
